A magnificent late-Romantic organ in the Neue Pfarrkirche St. Margaret, a vast church in Munich's Sendling district with an enormous acoustic of up to ten seconds. It began life in 1915 as a 56-stop Nenninger & Moser, was badly damaged in the war, and was comprehensively re-engineered in 2019 to 2020 by Klais of Bonn with the Munich workshop Kaps, who moved the whole organ off the damp west wall and resurrected its original 1915 tonal vision. The result is a hugely versatile instrument across five divisions, crowned by a striking 32' façade with pipes over ten metres tall and tuned to a unique temperament designed by Klais. Look out for the floating Auxiliarwerk high in the case, with its distant Seraphonflöte and vertical Tromba magna.
