Marko Sever Plays German, English and French Organ Music

Marko Sever really is an organist and a half. I was thrilled to have him play an Organ Recital on the BIS Organ during the BIS Summer BIS Organ Festival, and hearing him play in lossless audio is truly incredible.

Marko was until recently the Organ Scholar at Westminster Cathedral, where he regularly accompanied and directed the famous Cathedral Choir. He has recently recorded his debut CD, Symphonie-Passion, on the Cathedral’s world-famous Grand Organ, considered the crowning achievement of Henry Willis III. Before this, Marko spent two years at St Albans Cathedral, held positions at All Saints Margaret Street, and The London Oratory, after gaining valuable experience of the choral tradition at St James’ King Street, in Sydney.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, Marko gained his master’s degree in Organ Performance studying the organ with David Titterington and Gerard Brooks, as well as choral conducting with Patrick Russill. He has received further tuition from Colin Walsh, Martin Baker, and David Cassan, and is a prizewinning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.
