Introduction

After nearly five years of planning, saving, and more than a few setbacks, the BIS Music Room is finally becoming a reality.

Since 2020, BEAUTY IN SOUND has been quietly pioneering live organ performance online – from regular livestreams and Virtual Church to special events watched by thousands around the world. Everything so far has been achieved using a space that was never designed for this level of production.

The BIS Music Room is the natural next step: a purpose-built environment created specifically for filming, livestreaming, teaching, and sharing organ music at a much higher level. It’s about doing justice to the music, the instruments, and the audience who give their time week after week.

Why this space matters

A dedicated performing and filming space allows BIS to grow in ways that simply haven’t been possible before.

The room is being designed to deliver:

  • clearer, more immersive visuals;
  • better sound without visual clutter;
  • a flexible atmosphere that suits recitals, teaching, worship, and discussion;
  • comfort for both performers and in-person audiences.

To achieve this, the project includes investment in:

  • new PTZ cameras for flexible, broadcast-quality livestreams;
  • discreet, high-quality speakers that preserve a clean, uncluttered look;
  • custom lighting to transform the room for different events;
  • projection and screen facilities for BIS Cinema and special presentations;
  • new seating, air conditioning, and underfloor heating to make the space genuinely welcoming.

This is not about excess... it’s about creating a room that works properly and professionally, and that will serve BIS and its community for many years to come.

Where we are now

Even after years of saving and careful planning, the project is still around £50,000 short of being completed to the standard required for this next phase.

Many people have asked how they can support BIS in a practical way. This crowdfunding campaign exists simply to offer that option in an open and honest manner without pressure.

Every contribution, large or small, helps move the project closer to completion and directly supports the work you already see and enjoy.

How you can help

If you’d like to support the BIS Music Room, you can do so by making a voluntary donation to this crowdfunding campaign.

Donations are made in increments of £10, £100 and £1,000.
You can choose the amount by adjusting the quantity before checkout.

Your support goes directly towards improving:

  • the quality of BIS livestreams;
  • the range of events that can be offered;
  • the long-term sustainability of the project.

My commitment to you

My commitment is simple and sincere.

Any support you give will be reflected in what BIS is able to offer, not just in production quality, but in ambition. This includes:

  • high-profile organ recitals;
  • workshops and educational content;
  • Virtual Church and spoken programmes;
  • collaborations with chamber musicians;
  • events that can welcome in-person audiences as well as online viewers.

This room is being built for the BIS community – for those who value thoughtful music-making, careful presentation, and a respectful online space for the organ.

Thank you for reading, for watching, and for being part of BEAUTY IN SOUND.
If you choose to support the project, I’m genuinely very humbled and grateful.

This is a major step forward for online organ performance, and I’d love you to be part of it. Let's do this... think big, right?!
